    Who can join TNS?

    The Negotiation Society is open to anyone with an interest in negotiation.

    What are the different levels of membership?

    Associate membership is open to everyone and is free. It provides members with access to the newsroom, negotiation blogs and digital magazine, as well as the discussion boards and community areas.

     

    Advanced membership costs $199 as a one-time payment. In addition to the newsroom and community areas acquired through the associate membership, advanced membership provides access to The Gap Partnership’s twelve-month digital learning program 'Negotiation 365' and the knowledge bank, including the latest in negotiation thinking, planning tools and development resources.

     

    Founding membership is an exclusive status offered to alumni of The Gap Partnership who join within the first year of launch. It provides alumni with free access to all launch content found within the community, newsroom and knowledge bank, as well as the additional option of purchasing The Foundation Negotiator learning app.

    Who are your members?

    Our members come from a wide range of sectors and industries around the world. They are united by an interest in negotiation and for many it plays a key role in their working lives. We also have a growing number of negotiation professors from law and business schools and postgraduate law and MBA students.

    Do you offer corporate membership?

    We do not offer corporate membership. However we do provide the facility for organisations to purchase a bundle of memberships on behalf of their employees. If you are interested in finding out more please email us at hello@thenegotiationsociety.com

    Do you offer university membership?

    We do not offer a bespoke university membership. However we do provide the facility for universities to purchase a bundle of memberships on behalf of their students. If you are interested in finding out more please email us at hello@thenegotiationsociety.com

    Do you offer student membership?

    We do not offer a student membership. However we encourage students to join to further their learning, skills and understanding of negotiation.

    How do I renew my membership?

    We will send you a reminder email when you are close to the end of your yearly membership. You can renew your membership in the account section of your homepage.

    Can I try it before paying?

    Yes, you can register to become an Associate Member providing free access to the Newsroom and Community. However, to access the tools and resources within the Knowledge Bank you will need to subscribe to become an Advanced Member.

    Member Benefits

    Do you offer training?

    The Negotiation Society does not currently offer development training. However we do provide access to The Foundation Negotiator, The Gap Partnership’s learning app that provides users with an understanding or refresh of the basic principles involved in commercial negotiation via a series of films and online exercises. Members looking for further training should contact The Gap Partnership directly at contact@thegappartnership.com.

    How can I start a discussion thread?

    We encourage all members to start online discussions and debates. If you have a topic you would like to see posted in the forum, please email us at hello@thenegotiationsociety.com

    Events

    Can I attend events?

    Yes, although depending on your membership status and the event itself there may be an additional cost to attend.

    Can I attend an event if I am not a member?

    No, all our events are for members only.

    Do you run events outside of the UK?

    Yes. Please see our events board for events in your region.

    How do I book onto an event?

    Please follow the instructions on the events page.

    Data

    How do you use my data?

    We use your data for three reasons: 1) To identify you so that you are given access to the right areas of the website depending on your membership level. 2) In order to help you to make the best possible use of the website to support your negotiation goals. 3) So that we can offer you tailored information and services that we think may be of interest to you.

    What happens to my data?

    Your data is held and managed securely by us on your behalf for the purposes of delivering the service to you. It is not given to anyone else nor are any unauthorized persons allowed to access it. As your data grows over time as you use the systems, it is maintained such that all of your data is solely associated with your account.

    Can I request my data?

    In compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2015), your data is owned by you and you can request it at any time. You can download an electronic copy of the data we hold on you by visiting your ‘My Profile’ section of this website and navigating to the Privacy section. If you would like us to remove your data from our systems, you can do that at any time too. Simply visit your ‘My Profile’ section of this website and click ‘Close Account’ in the Privacy section. Your account will be disabled immediately and your data automatically deleted from our system after 30 days
